November - "DE-TOUR with GRAM DOCENTS" is the new show for November at the Gallery Uptown in Grand Haven. All the artists in the exhibit are also docents for the Grand Rapids Art Museum. The artists/docents are taking a detour from giving tours at the Grand Rapids Art Museum to present an exhibition of their own artwork at the Gallery Uptown in Grand Haven.
Artists in the exhibit are: LYNN ANDERSON, JAN ANDRE, MARGARET BENEFIEL, CAROL BERRY, JEAN BOOT, NANCY CLOUSE, BARBARA GROAT, ROSEMARY HAYES, SANDI LUMMEN, SANDY MEYER, CHRISTINE OLSON, and CHRIS STOFFEL OVERVOORDE.
Many of these artists are retired art teachers from the Grand Rapids area schools and universities. Chris Overvoode was the juror for the Gallery Uptown Winter Festival Exhibit in 2009, and Nancy Clouse juried the exhibit in 2005.
