Signs
of Spring - Birds and Blooms
Gallery Uptown's April
exhibition, Signs of Spring - Birds and Blooms, in the
Walburg Gallery, will certainly inspire art lovers to enjoy the promise
of spring. Artists showing their work will be: Cyndy Callog, Bill
Rowell, Sheri Woodard, G.G. Havens and Catherine McClung.
Nationally known watercolorist, Cyndy Callog of Pentwater, displays her
paintings of birds perched in fanciful baskets of flowers or
realistically portrayed in their natural environment. Retired Wildlife
Biologist, Bill Rowell, hand carves birds from spalted wood. They are
then polished and mounted on driftwood. Spring Lake watercolorist, Sheri
Woodard exhibits her paintings of spectacular, light filled flowers. G.G.
Havens’ art form is lampwork glass. She has manipulated hot glass to
form flowers for this early spring show. Catherine McClung's watercolor
paintings of flowers and birds in their natural habitat reveal her
careful observations of her favorite subjects. The exhibition
continues through Friday, April 30.
