The New Show for the month of March, Art workshops, Artists in shows and Community art happenings
March - "WATER AND LIGHT" - Sheri Woodard, Helen Lystra, Larry Blovits, and Lisa Ambrose  
March 2 through March 30   Opening Reception on Friday, March 4, from 5:3 - 8pm.

New artwork will be shown by Sheri Woodard, Helen Lystra, Larry Blovits, and Lisa Ambrose.

Sheri and Helen will sell prints of their artwork and a portion of the proceeds will be given to the Michigan Inland Lakes Partnership. MILP’s purpose is to engage state and local agencies, Native American Nations, educational institutions, organizations, businesses, industries and citizens in a collaborative effort to ensure the quality, sustainability and ecological diversity of lakes, while considering society’s needs. Painting and Drawing Classes with Rob Michmerhuizen
Rob Michmerhuizen has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and for over 30 years has offered professional instruction in drawing and painting. Each class meets weekly and is limited to five students. Study consists of still life, landscape and figures in charcoal, graphite and acrylic paints. Drawing supplies are furnished. The weekly rate is $20.00 per student for each two hour lesson. Brown all have had artwork accepted into the 25th West Michigan Regional Competition!   The show runs from February 22 - April 8 with a Public Reception on Sunday, March 6th from 2:00 – 4:00 pm.  Juror’s Statement and Awards presented at 3:00 pm.  www.lowellartscouncil.org
In this competition Lee Brown won 4th Place for his sculpture, “Finnian’s Keep” (Cedar, Limestone, Enamel, Wax)

ART ON THE RIVERFRONT
August 20, 2011, from 10-5 at the city marina,
The Grand Haven Area Arts Council is now accepting applications for our eleventh annual ART ON THE RIVERFRONT juried art show. The show will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2011 from 10:00am to 5:00pm at the Grand Haven City Marina. Applications for the show and our annual poster contest are both due April 1st.
