Artist’s Statement

The wonder of creating moods, designs, subjects on a clear piece of white paper - arts miracle of birth. To actually see art come to life by your own hands or the tools you use or by the way your heart feels is nothing short of an amazing epiphany.

I have had the blessing of creating art since I was a child. In l995 I began exhibiting paintings throughout West Michigan. Since then I have studied under great masters, both in the United States and abroad. I've taught art classes and used all forms of mediums. I love painting all subjects but my soul reaches out with exhilaration to see an animal’s fur look real or a young child’s little toes come to life.

Most of my work is done in watercolor in my home art studio. Paintings are also at the Gallery Uptown where I have been a member for over 13 years.

I find great peace and serenity in my work. My brushes and palette present to you gifts to carry home the warmth from my subjects, the love for my young and the brilliant colors of a rainbow. I hope to bring a smile to your lips and the warmth of my brush strokes across your heart.
