"A Few of Our Favorite Things"

“A Few of Our Favorite Things” is the March show at the Gallery Uptown and features artwork from five artists,
Maggie Bandstra – oil paintings,
Christa Barnell – oil and mixed media paintings,
Josey Brouwer – collage and fiber art,
Lisa Dionne – metal sculpture,
Michael Coleman – oil paintings and mosaics.
Skye Gentle – oil paintings
The artwork is fun and fanciful, detailed and astonishing, colorful and illustrative. Join us for our first Friday reception and discover some favorite artwork of your own.

The opening reception for the show will be Friday, March 5, from 5:30 to 8:00pm. Talks by the Artists will start at 7pm. "A Few of Our Favorite Things" runs from March 2 through March 30. The Gallery is open Monday through Saturday, 10am-6pm.

Artist Statement & Bio:
Since my earliest memories I have been drawing and viewing the world as color, line, and forms. From my mom comes the drawing skills and love of dance, from my dad comes the great love for music, animals, land and the lake and the interest in science and metaphysics and from me comes the constant stream of mind pictures which I must try to re-create for others to see.
