Patricia Dee - tia artworks

My heart swells with the excitement I feel when I am moved to capture the moment, the emotion, the passion of life's quiet events. It may be the glimpse into a room dimly lit, the cast shadows across a face, or the sweetness of a glorious day. It could be sadness or love, whatever feeling is speaking to me and gives me the desire to express it, and share it with those that view my art.

I began working in pastels; I love the connection of applying this pigment directly on my painting, and it is a fast and expressive medium. I have also branched out to acrylic, watercolor, collage, and recently encaustic. I love it all. My life is a continuous journey through Artland, I love it and I hope you will enjoy the results.

Patricia, who signs her art “tia,” produces works of sensitive portraits, emotional attitudes, beckoning landscapes, and intimate interiors. She feels that her art is taking her on a journey, one that she is just beginning. Those that know her well will attest to her onward drive in pursuing her personal education and her insatiable appetite when it comes to learning the various aspects in acquiring her skills. With each step she takes, each painting she produces you can see her advancing in talent and abilities. Friends and fellow artists have been delighted with the mood she captures in her portraits. Figure drawing is my personal choice says Patricia. But she also produces landscapes and has just recently taken up photography.
