Painting is oil and stone brushing with the past and
spreading into the future. Oils last for centuries and these
timeless elements come through in the still life work. The
serenity and strength of these paintings endures from our
time and stretches forward into our children's' and
grandchildren's' time. The inclusion of hidden figures is a
fine twist on tradition; look for the nude figures within
the pears and apples.
There is also a lighter side to this artist with her food
and drink series. A woman propped up against a wedge of
chocolate cake or a man draped around a glass of red wine,
these are sure to please all. Perhaps the golf series
appeals to your sporty side with a man carrying a "golf bag"
of olives back to the clubhouse or giant martini glasses on
the nineteenth hole. |
